BISMARCK – U.S. Senator Kevin Cramer (R-ND), a Senate Armed Services Committee (SASC) member, announced today he will host Commander of the U.S. Space Command, General James Dickinson, in North Dakota on Monday for a visit to the University of North Dakota (UND) and the Cavalier Air Space Station.
“I look forward to hosting General Dickinson’s visit to Grand Forks and Cavalier, where we will have the opportunity to showcase North Dakota as an important player in the space domain now and into the future,” said Senator Cramer.
After the general’s time at UND and before their trip to Cavalier, Senator Cramer will host a media availability where the senator and general will separately be available to answer questions from the press. Interested media should RSVP to Jake Wilkins at jake_wilkins@cramer.senate.gov.
Details are as follows:

Senator Cramer met with General Dickinson this summer and questioned him during his nominations hearing before SASC. The senator invited him to North Dakota after they discussed the role the University of North Dakota (UND) could play as Space Command develops a University Affiliated Research Center (UARC).
