WASHINGTON — U.S. Senator Kevin Cramer (R-ND) announced the U.S. Department of Agriculture’s (USDA) National Institute of Food and Agriculture (NIFA) awarded North Dakota State University (NDSU) $130,809 to support research to improve plant production.
This competitive grant is given through NIFA’s Agriculture and Food Research Initiative, which is designed to improve rural economies, increase food production, and train the next generation of the agricultural workforce. This NDSU grant is one of twenty-two Plant Physiology Research awards nation-wide totaling over $6 million.
