WASHINGTON — U.S. Senator Kevin Cramer (R-ND) issued the following statement on the U.S. Court of Appeals for the D.C. Circuit ruling today the Dakota Access Pipeline (DAPL) can continue shipping oil while the court hears arguments over the pipeline’s environmental review:

“This ruling represents another victory in the fight for North Dakota energy. On the day DAPL was originally ordered to be shut down and emptied, we receive another assurance the pipeline can keep playing its important part in bolstering America’s energy dominance. I hope all sides will continue to work toward a solution everyone can accept.”

This follows the Circuit Court in July temporarily staying the District Court’s ruling, which ordered the pipeline to shut down and emptied by today, August 5.
