BISMARCK – U.S. Senator Kevin Cramer (R-ND) joined Senator Roger Marshall (R-KS) on a letter to President Biden urging him to immediately reopen all federal offices and facilities, and require federal employees to return to the office to better serve the American people.

“We urge you to immediately reopen all federal offices and facilities, and require federal employees to return to the office and get back to work serving the American people,” wrote the senators. “Federal agencies’ remote work policies have done more than limit in-person meetings and appointments, they have substantially diminished the ability of the staff at most federal agencies from accessing all resources and forms of communication with the people who need their assistance.”

In April, Senator Cramer spoke to North Dakota Farm Service Agency (FSA) employees about the U.S. Department of Agriculture’s (USDA) policy of limiting in-office staff and restricting visitors from entering FSA county offices. The senator heard attendees express their concerns regarding this policy and their desire for offices to be reopened, which would allow them to better serve the people seeking their assistance. Learn more here.

Senators Cramer and Marshall are joined on the letter by Senators Bill Hagerty (R-TN), Cynthia Lummis (R-WY), Rob Portman (R-OH), Bill Cassidy (R-LA), Patrick Toomey (R-PA), James Inhofe (R-OK), and Mike Braun (R-IN).
