BISMARCK – U.S. Senator Kevin Cramer (R-ND) announced today the U.S. Environmental Protection Agency (EPA) awarded $130,000 to the Turtle Mountain Band of Chippewa Indians.

The funds will be used towards surveying and taking inventory of brownfield sites, which are properties whose expansion, redevelopment or reuse may be complicated by the presence of hazardous substances to remediate and redevelop brownfields sites throughout the reservation.
