WASHINGTON – U.S. Senator Kevin Cramer (R-ND), a Senate Environment and Public Works (EPW) Committee member, announced today the U.S. Environmental Protection Agency (EPA) awarded the following two grants totaling $810,000:

  • $500,000 to the Turtle Mountain Band of Chippewa Indians used to clean up brownfield sites at L'BelCour in Belcourt, North Dakota, to make way for safe demolition and redevelopment.
  • $310,000 to the Spirit Lake Tribe to address contamination in building materials and soil so the sites can be reused as new home sites, open space and for tribal services.
