BISMARCK – U.S. Senator Kevin Cramer (R-ND), Ranking Member of the Senate Environment and Public Works (EPW) Subcommittee on Transportation and Infrastructure, announced the Environmental Protection Agency (EPA) awarded North Dakota $11,390,000 for the Clean Water State Revolving Fund (CWSRF).

These resources were allocated in the bipartisan Infrastructure Investment and Jobs Act (IIJA), which authorized over $200 million for North Dakota State Revolving Fund (SRF) programs. In November 2021, Senator Cramer hosted EPA Assistant Administrator for Water Radhika Fox for a rural water tour, where they announced the increased funding for the state.

"The Infrastructure Investment and Jobs Act provided substantial increases for water infrastructure across North Dakota’s communities,” said Senator Cramer. “I am pleased to see these dollars are supporting projects to improve the water quality for communities throughout our state.”

The CWSRF provides low-interest financing for the development of water systems across North Dakota and supports related projects to improve public health. This funding is in addition to the $8.7 million awarded in December 2022 and the $5.7 million awarded in August 2022.
