WASHINGTON — U.S. Senator Kevin Cramer (R-ND) announced today the U.S. Department of Homeland Security (DHS) Federal Emergency Management Agency (FEMA) awarded the following two grants totaling $8,616,014.93 to state agencies in North Dakota:
- $6,405,647.37 to the North Dakota Department of Health (NDDOH) to cover the costs of laboratory testing services from April through September; and
- $2,210,367.56 to the North Dakota Department of Emergency Services (NDDES) for the costs from January through July of its Emergency Operations Center, NK95 masks for health and medical institutions, dissemination of public information, staff enhanced medical facilities (nurse and state lab tech support), and community-based testing activities.
The funds account for 75 percent of the total project costs and are obligated directly to the State of North Dakota. Learn more here.
