BISMARCK – U.S. Senator Kevin Cramer (R-ND) announced the Department of Health and Human Services awarded a total of $1,209,702 to the University of North Dakota. These funds will assist rural hospitals to stabilize and sustain their local healthcare infrastructure.

Background

Senator Cramer has supported Critical Access Hospitals which play an essential role in the delivery of health care services across North Dakota. Last year, he toured Northwood Deaconess Health Center and met with North Dakota rural health leaders to discuss recruiting and retaining employees, telehealth, and mental and behavioral health services.
