BISMARCK – U.S. Senator Kevin Cramer (R-ND) announced a total of $3,606,021 in U.S. Department of Health and Human Services (HHS) funding for North Dakota initiatives.

The HHS Administration for Children and Families awarded the Dickinson/Williston Region Community Action Partnership $2,424,241 for Head Start programs, which provide services for low-income families with young children and encourage communities to support the physical, cognitive, social, and emotional development of infants and toddlers.

The agency also awarded the North Dakota Department of Health and Human Services $1,181,780 as follows:   

  • $1,000,000 for the STD Prevention and Control in North Dakota Workforce Supplement
  • $181,780 for the North Dakota Public Health Crisis Response
