WASHINGTON — U.S. Senator Kevin Cramer (R-ND) joined Sean Spicer and Mercedes Schlapp on Newsmax to discuss the media’s coverage of President Biden, the Senate’s agenda, and the Democrats’ spending bill. Excerpts and a link to the video are below.

On the Media:

“The media are so invested in [Biden] being president that they’re protecting their own investment. … The media is very liberal. They’re just going to be naturally very nice to him and not to us.”

On the Spending Bill:

“One of the things we can do is continue to come on shows like this, continue to reveal what’s in it, in this $1.9 trillion atrocity we’ve already passed. That’s their worst nightmare. That’s the real reason [Democrats] are out selling it with their talking points.”

On the Senate’s Agenda:

“We have to keep talking what’s actually in [the stimulus] bill and what it’s really costing. … I do get a sense that there’s some fatigue already setting in with regard to this one-sided, unilateral, hyper-partisan way the Senate is conducting itself and frankly the president is conducting himself.”

On the Filibuster:

“I really have to hand it to Leader McConnell. He’s done a great job highlighting not the ancient hypocrisy but the very recent hypocrisy from people like Chuck Schumer and the other Senate leadership that have talked out of both sides of their mouths in recent years.”
