BISMARCK – U.S. Senator Kevin Cramer (R-ND), a Senate Veterans’ Affairs (VA) Committee member, virtually joined the ribbon cutting ceremony and grand opening of the Veterans Affairs Community Resource & Referral Center (CRRC) in Fargo today.
“Veterans without housing or access to proper health care treatment is a tragedy, and it is our collective responsibility to do something about it,” said Senator Cramer. “This community resource and referral center will give North Dakota veterans a safe environment with access to resources to combat mental health problems, addiction, and homelessness.”
The Fargo Veterans Affairs Health Care System (HCS) awarded the lease for North Dakota’s first-ever Veterans CRRC in Fargo. The Fargo CRRC will give veterans access to numerous resources, including housing referrals, counseling, medical care, employment services, substance abuse treatment, and personalized psychosocial programs. The Fargo CRRC is close to other helpful resources for those experiencing homelessness, like the Salvation Army, shelters, employment services, transportation, and meal services.
