WASHINGTON – U.S. Senator Kevin Cramer (R-ND) announced today the Federal Emergency Management Agency (FEMA) under the Department of Homeland Security (DHS) granted North Dakota $3,679,792 to fund the construction of a levee, floodwall, and road raise in order to provide permanent flood protection of the City of Fargo's Waste Water Treatment Plan (WWTP).
The improvements will provide protection above the 500-year floodplain elevation and allow for continued service to the cities of Fargo, West Fargo, Oxbow, and other surrounding communities. FEMA obligates funding for this project directly to North Dakota.
