BISMARCK – U.S. Senator Kevin Cramer (R-ND) announced today the U.S. Department of Health and Human Services (HHS) approved a grant under the HHS Administration for Children and Families Office of Head Start of $1,153,410 to the TGU School District.

Head Start and Early Head Start programs promote school readiness of children from low-income families, from birth to age five, by enhancing their cognitive, social, and emotional development. Head Start programs provide a learning environment which supports children’s growth through emphasizing the role and responsibility of parents as their child’s first and most important teacher.
