WASHINGTON – U.S. Senator Kevin Cramer (R-ND) announced today the U.S. Department of Health and Human Services (HHS) approved two grants totaling $3,175,649 to support Head Start and Early Head Start programs and projects. The two recipients are below:
The designated discretionary funds are administered by the HHS Office of Head Start within the Administration for Children and Families. Head Start and Early Head Start programs provide family-centered services for low-income families with young children. They also seek to mobilize local communities to provide the resources and environment necessary to ensure and promote the physical, cognitive, social, and emotional development of infants and toddlers through safe and developmentally enriching caregiving.
