BISMARCK – U.S. Senator Kevin Cramer (R-ND) announced today the U.S. Department of Education (ED) awarded the state of North Dakota $5,932,707 in State Flexibility Funding for Coronavirus (COVID—19) response efforts apportioned through the Coronavirus Aid, Relief, and Economic Security (CARES) Act. 

This ED award is made available through Governor’s Emergency Education Relief Fund authorized in the CARES Act. It is part of a $3 billion nation-wide emergency education relief funding package for governors to allocate at their discretion to schools and colleges within their states. Each state may use this funding to support their K-12 schools, colleges, and universities based on need.
