WASHINGTON – U.S. Senator and Senate Veterans Affairs (VA) Committee member Kevin Cramer (R-ND) issued the following statement on the Senate passing the “Veterans’ Compensation Cost-of-Living Adjustment Act of 2019” today:

“Veterans suffering from injuries they received during their service, and the loved ones of our fallen soldiers, deserve the best benefits and highest quality care our country can provide. This important legislation increases not only VA disability compensation rates, but also compensation rates for children and spouses of fallen service members; and I am pleased to see it pass.”

Senator Cramer in June joined his colleagues on the VA Committee to introduce companion legislation for this bill, which originated in the House. After passing the Senate today, and the House of Representatives in May, the bill now heads to President Trump’s desk for his signature.
