Sen. Cramer Statement on a Federal Judge Reinstating the Obama-era Methane Rule

BISMARCK – U.S. Senator Kevin Cramer (R-ND) issued the following statement on Judge Yvonne Gonzalez Rogers of the U.S. District Court for the Northern District of California last night reinstating the Obama Administration’s methane venting and flaring rule:

“Yet again, an activist judge got it wrong. The Obama Administration’s methane rule was a direct attack on America’s energy jobs. This rule should have been repealed by Congress in 2017, but we fell one vote short, with every Senate Democrat voting no. I look forward to working with North Dakota’s Attorney General Wayne Stenehjem, like-minded states, and the Trump Administration to rectify this ruling out of California.”
