WASHINGTON – U.S. Senator Kevin Cramer (R-ND), a Senate Budget Committee member, issued the following statement on President Joe Biden’s Fiscal Year 2022 budget proposal released today:

“President Biden is siding with the far-left part of his party in calling on Congress to pass a partisan $6 trillion federal budget that appears fundamentally disconnected from our economic reality. With inflation at levels we haven’t seen since 2008, the national debt at its highest level since World War II, and nearly $1 trillion from previous COVID-19 relief packages still unspent, the President is working to bring spending to record heights by funding several unnecessary programs while still failing to provide for our highest priority, the nation’s national defense. Hopefully Democrats in Congress will stand up for America and stand up to the President by discarding this unrealistic proposal and working with Republicans to craft a bipartisan budget for this year.”

Senator Cramer spoke with David Asman on Fox Business yesterday about the President’s proposed budget and its impact on the economy. Click here to watch.
