Senator Cramer Will Host Him for a Listening Session with North Dakotans

WASHINGTON – U.S. Senator Kevin Cramer (R-ND), a Senate Environment and Public Works (EPW) Committee member, announced today he will host Environmental Protection Agency (EPA) Administrator Michael Regan on a trip to Bismarck, North Dakota, next Thursday, June 3, for a stakeholder listening session and media availability.

“It is an honor to host another senior administration official on their visit to our state. I voted to confirm Administrator Regan knowing we would not see eye-to-eye on policy, but believing he would make a good faith effort to engage directly with North Dakotans as the Administration seeks to craft environmental policies that are workable and sound,” said Senator Cramer. “North Dakotans have been on the frontlines of major EPA policies, successfully pushing for good solutions and opposing harmful ones. I thank the Administrator for fulfilling his commitment to hearing from them, and I look forward to facilitating a productive discussion between them and the Administrator about the future of America’s environmental policies.”

Senator Cramer helped advance Administrator Regan’s nomination through committee before announcing his support for him in March, citing his desire to make cooperation a cornerstone of his time at the agency.

The trip will also include a visit regarding Brownfields in Mandan, North Dakota. More details will be provided at a later date, and interested media should RSVP to Jake Wilkins at jake_wilkins@cramer.senate.gov for more information.
