Senator Cramer to Host Goldman Sachs CEO in Bismarck as First Guest Later This Week

BISMARCK – U.S. Senator Kevin Cramer (R-ND) announced today he is launching a new speaker series entitled “The Bully Pulpit” where he will host a variety of public officials and influential leaders in North Dakota to hear from constituents and share their expertise in a format designed for constructive discussions.

“The Bully Pulpit will be an excellent opportunity to connect the power and influence of national and global leaders with the great potential and much-needed commonsense of North Dakota,” said Senator Cramer. “I look forward to hosting a number of speakers and facilitating productive conversations between them and the people of our state.”

Senator Cramer’s first guest will be Goldman Sachs CEO David Solomon. As a member of the Senate Banking Committee, Senator Cramer has met with Mr. Solomon and spoken with him during committee hearings about their shared priorities on the financial industry, America’s fiscal policy, and energy innovation.

“I have enjoyed building a working relationship with Mr. Solomon and having meaningful discussions on the great potential North Dakota possesses,” said Senator Cramer. “I look forward to hosting him and having him engage with North Dakotans on these and other issues.”

Senator Cramer will host Mr. Solomon in Bismarck, North Dakota, at the University of Mary on Thursday, September 9, for a discussion with North Dakotans on the state’s economic opportunities and the financial sector’s role in supporting clean energy efforts. The event will also be livestreamed on Senator Cramer’s YouTube channel. Interested media should RSVP to Jake Wilkins at jake_wilkins@cramer.senate.gov for more information.
