BISMARCK – U.S. Senator Kevin Cramer (R-ND) announced today the U.S. Department of Energy awarded $5,000,000 to the University of North Dakota (UND) Energy and Environmental Research Center (EERC).
The funds will be used by UND as the lead on the “Plains CO2 Reduction” project in 13 Northwest states and four Canadian provinces to identify and address onshore regional storage and transport challenges facing the commercial deployment of Carbon Capture, Utilization and Storage (CCUS) in an expanded region.
