WASHINGTON –U.S. Senator Kevin Cramer (R-ND), member of the Senate Environment and Public Works (EPW) Committee, announced the U.S. Department of Energy (DOE) awarded $2,500,000 to the University of North Dakota’s (UND) Energy & Environmental Research Center (EERC) to advance the implementation of carbon capture, utilization and storage (CCUS) technology at the Marathon renewable diesel facility in Dickinson.

These funds will be distributed through the Regional Carbon Sequestration Partnerships (RCSP) program, an initiative committed to the advancement of CCUS demonstration projects and mapping potential storage locations.
