WASHINGTON – U.S. Senator Kevin Cramer (R-ND), a Senate Banking Committee member, wrote a letter to Treasury Secretary Steven Mnuchin and Acting Inspector General Richard Delmar urging them the extend the Coronavirus Relief Fund (CRF) and CARES Act reporting deadlines for state, local, territorial, and tribal governments by 30 days.

“Extending these reporting requirements would provide much-needed flexibility for state, local, territorial, and tribal governments which face time-consuming and costly bookkeeping, documentation, and reporting preparations,” wrote Senator Cramer. “Reporting extensions would be particularly beneficial to tribal governments as they bear a disproportionately challenging bookkeeping and reporting burden.”

The CRF and CARES Act reporting deadlines are September 21 and October 13, respectively.
