WASHINGTON – U.S. Senator Kevin Cramer (R-ND) announced today the U.S. Department of Agriculture (USDA) awarded funds to the following three North Dakota cities:

  • $1,110,000 grant and a $1,426,000 loan to the City of New Salem to replace the city’s water main and sewer pipes,
  • $466,626 grant and a $585,000 loan to the City of Hillsboro to fund new pipes for the city's water systems, and
  • $236,250 grant and a $290,000 loan to the City of Beach to build a new water transmission main that services the city.

The USDA’s Office of Rural Development is making the investments under the Water and Environmental Program, the Rural Energy for America Program, the Electric Loan Program and the Higher Blends Infrastructure Incentive Program. Learn more here
