BISMARCK – U.S. Senator Kevin Cramer (R-ND) announced the U.S. Department of Agriculture (USDA) Rural Development awarded a total of $8,470,000 to the following programs and initiatives:
- $6,560,000 to the Turtle Mountain Band of Chippewa Indians to replace and repair the existing wastewater collection system serving a portion of the city of Belcourt, North Dakota
- $352,000 to remove and replace concrete at Nueta Hidatsa Sahnish College
- $352,000 to Turtle Mountain Community College to remove and replace the current concrete
- $352,000 to Sitting Bull College to purchase and install seating for their outdoor classroom and engineering/architecture fees
- $352,000 to Cankdeska Cikana Community College to make improvements, including heating, ventilation, and air conditioning units repair and replace in the daycare classrooms; replace flooring in the student services center, carpentry wing, and adult education center; roof repairs above nursing station; and purchase and install a surge protector for the technology wing
- $352,000 to United Tribes Technical College to finance street improvements
- $50,000 to Rebuilding Together to provide funding to four single-family occupied homes
- $50,000 to Red River Regional Council to provide home repairs to two single-family occupied homes in Nelson County
- $50,000 to the North Central Planning Council to replace roofs and windows for two multifamily housing buildings, in the city of Maddock, North Dakota.
