WASHINGTON — U.S. Senator Kevin Cramer (R-ND) issued the following statement after meeting with President Donald Trump at the White House to discuss building a Space Force:

“Space is quickly emerging as a new realm of military conflict. In order to maintain American dominance in space, we must assemble a modern and capable Space Force. I look forward to working with President Trump, the Department of Defense, and my Senate colleagues to give space the attention it deserves.”

On Thursday, the Senate Armed Services Committee (SASC) will hold a hearing about developing a Space Force.

Senator Cramer also spoke with President Trump about ongoing trade negotiations and briefly spoke with Senior Advisor Jared Kushner about reforms to our immigration system.
