WASHINGTON – U.S. Senator Kevin Cramer (R-ND) issued the following statement on President Donald Trump unveiling the plan to protect the agricultural community from unjustified retaliation and trade disruption:
“I spoke with President Trump this morning and expressed my appreciation for protecting the hardworking farmers, ranchers, and producers in North Dakota and across the country against China’s unfair retaliatory acts. For decades China has taken advantage of the United States in trade negotiations, violating intellectual property rights and overly subsidizing their products with almost no repercussions. I applaud the President for putting American interests first on the world stage and for blunting China’s attempt to make our farmers the victims of their bad-faith negotiating.”
