WASHINGTON — U.S. Senator Kevin Cramer (R-ND) issued the following statement today after meeting with Air Force Secretary Heather Wilson to discuss the North Dakota’s Air Force priorities, the Air Force budget, and the importance of nuclear deterrence:
“This week I helped introduce a bipartisan resolution with Senator Hoeven to support the modernization and maintenance of the nation’s Intercontinental Ballistic Missiles (ICBMs), like those in Minot. I spoke with Secretary Wilson about how each part of the nuclear triad plays a vital role in national maintaining national security. We also spoke about the Air Force budget. As a member of both the Senate Budget Committee and the Senate Armed Services subcommittee that oversees the Air Force budget, I plan to help craft a budget that reflects the Air Force’s mission and priorities.”
