WILLISTON, ND – U.S. Senator Kevin Cramer (R-ND) joined local leaders in applauding the completion of the Williston Basin International Airport at today’s ribbon cutting ceremony.
“Congratulations to everyone who made this happen. Ground-up construction of the United States’ first new international airport in 12 years- completed on time and on budget- is a major achievement,” said Senator Cramer. “Thanks in part to President Trump’s rocket ship economy and his support for rebuilding our nation’s infrastructure, the city of Williston and state of North Dakota were able to make this landmark project a reality. This airport is a testament to what can be done when a job is done by North Dakota builders instead of DC bureaucrats.”
This ceremony comes as the U.S. Department of Transportation recently awarded a grant of over $6 million to the City of Williston to complete the final stages of this project.
