BISMARCK — Last night, U.S. Senator Kevin Cramer (R-ND) delivered the keynote address at the Christians United For Israel (CUFI) Night to Honor Israel event.
“Support for Israel should be an obvious and natural extension of being Christian. I was honored to join this important organization as they remind followers of Christ of our religious and cultural roots,” said Senator Cramer. “While the United States and Israel share common political values, Christians and Jews share a common bloodline that is even more important than politics.”
Senator Cramer spoke on the shared values and friendship between Israel and United States, as well as the importance of standing up to Iran, speaking out against the BDS Movement, and passing pro-Israel legislation like Senate Bill 1.
“Support for Israel is not situational. It is obvious,” said Senator Cramer. “It is not a coincidental that Israel is pro-democracy, pro-human rights, pro-religious freedom. We were founded on those same values.”
Christians United for Israel- touting more than 7 million members- is the largest pro-Israel organization in the United States and one of the leading Christian grassroots movements in the world. CUFI spans all fifty states and reaches millions with its educational message. Their Night to Honor Israel was the first event of its kind held in North Dakota, with funds raised going to benefit CUFI on Campus.
