WASHINGTON – U.S. Senator Kevin Cramer (R-ND) announced today the Department of Justice awarded North Dakota two grants totaling $133,837 through the COVID-19 Emergency Supplemental Funding Program.

The first grant, totaling $75,829, will go to the City of Grand Forks. The second, totaling $58,008, will go to Burleigh County.

According to the DOJ, these funds will allow states, territories, local governments, and federally recognized tribes to support a broad range of activities to prevent, prepare for, and respond to COVID-19. This may include overtime pay, equipment, hiring, supplies, training, travel expenses, and addressing the medical needs of inmates.
