BISMARCK – U.S. Senator Kevin Cramer (R-ND) announced today the U.S. Department of Health and Human Services (HHS) approved two grants totaling $2,277,951 for health services and head start programs in Turtle Lake and New Town.

The Administration for Children and Families Office of Head Start under HHS awarded the Three Affiliated Tribes a grant of $1,153,730. The discretionary funds will be used to finance American Indian and Alaska Native (AIAN) Head Start Programs for the Three Affiliated Tribes in New Town. 

The Health Resources and Services Administration Program Headquarters Office under HHS awarded the Northland Health Partners Community Health Centers a grant of $1,124,221. This discretionary grant will be used to fund the health center’s many locations throughout the state to continue providing exceptional health care services.
