WASHINGTON—U.S. Senator Kevin Cramer (R-ND) announced today the U.S.Department of Health and Human Services (HHS) awarded four grants totaling $819,588 for mental health and behavioral health service programs in North Dakota. The following three recipients were awarded funds:
Community Action Partnership of North Dakota received $400,000 in a Community Services Block Grant to finance a Training and Technical Assistance Program. Specifically, the HHS discretionary funds will be used for a Regional Performance and Innovation Consortium and Human Capacity and Community Transformation Initiatives.
The Mountain Plains Youth Service Inc. received two grants totaling $249,588 to finance a Street Outreach Program for Runaway, Homeless, Street and Trafficked youth in Fargo and Moorhead and also a Basic Center Program in Bismarck. The Discretionary funds are approved by the Administration for Children and Families and Family and Youth Services Bureau under HHS.
The North Dakota Department of Human Services received $170,000 under the HHS Administration for Children and Families Office of Child Support Enforcement to conduct a State Child Support Enforcement Agencies Demonstration.
