BISMARCK – U.S. Senator Kevin Cramer (R-ND) announced today the U.S. Department of Housing and Urban Development (HUD) awarded four grants to North Dakota as a part of their first allocation of COVID-19 funding. The following recipients have secured a combined $4,990,647 in COVID Recovery Community Development Block Grants (CDBG) and Emergency Solutions Grants (ESG):

 

  • North Dakota Nonentitlement – $2,345,392.00  CDBG20-COVID Recovery;   $1,673,841.00   ESG20-COVID Recovery
  • Fargo - $464,253.00  CDBG20-COVID Recovery
  • Grand Forks - $268,054.00  CDBG20-COVID Recovery
  • Bismarck - $239,107.00  CDBG20-COVID Recovery

 

Immediately after President Trump signed the CARES Act, HUD began allocating $3.064 billion to help America’s low-income families and most vulnerable citizens. These relief funds will be awarded quickly by using existing grant formulas and accompanied by new guidance with less red tape so grantees can quickly help their communities.
