WASHINGTON – U.S. Senator and Senate Environment and Public Works (EPW) Committee member Kevin Cramer (R-ND) issued the following statement on the U.S. Environmental Protection Agency (EPA) releasing their supplemental proposed rule for calculating exempted gallons from Small Refinery Exemptions (SRE) under the Renewable Fuel Standard (RFS):

“I am glad to see the EPA move quickly on the plan they put forward. This deal is designed to expand America’s energy production while improving the RFS program which helps our farmers. I urge North Dakotans to offer their input and to continue leading on this issue.”

Before visiting North Dakota last week, the EPA Administrator Andrew Wheeler announced this agreement, which begins with today’s supplemental notice. Click here for more information from the EPA.
