BISMARCK – U.S. Senator and Senate Environment and Public Works (EPW) Committee member Kevin Cramer (R-ND) issued the following statement regarding Senate Democrats forcing a vote to repeal the U.S. Environmental Protection Agency’s (EPA) “Affordable Clean Energy Rule”:

“The ACE rule is a win for my state and our country. It respects the law and restores the proper balance between states and the federal government; but if given the opportunity, Senate Democrats would rather we return to the higher electricity bills, reduced grid reliability, and fewer well-paying jobs the Obama Administration’s Clean Power Plan would have caused. I oppose this attack on American energy by Senate Democrats, and I urge my colleagues to do the same.”

Senator Cramer worked with the Administration to craft the ACE rule and praised its release in June.
