WASHINGTON – U.S. Senator Kevin Cramer (R-ND) issued the following statement regarding President Donald Trump’s decision to not reissue Significant Reduction Exceptions (SREs) for Iran:
“An emboldened Iran is a threat to the world, and the disastrous Iran Nuclear Deal did nothing but strengthen this State Sponsor of Terrorism while endangering Israel and our Middle East allies. Today’s announcement is another step toward inflicting the maximum pressure on Iran to end their support for destabilizing activities. I agree with President Trump’s decision and firmly stand with his administration as the United States works to effectively eliminate Iran’s ability to fund terrorism.”
