WASHINGTON – U.S. Senator Kevin Cramer (R-ND) issued the following statement today after meeting with Canadian Ambassador to the United States David MacNaughton:

“I met with Ambassador MacNaughton to discuss issues affecting the northern border and trade relations between our two nations. I also reaffirmed my support for the United States-Mexico-Canada (USMCA) agreement. Canada imports energy, software, agricultural commodities, manufacturing goods, and many other products from North Dakota. Approving this deal means improved market access for several of our state’s top industries. I would like to thank the Ambassador for meeting with me, and I look forward to working with him as we pass this agreement through Congress, implement it, and work toward even more opportunities for our two countries to advance a mutually beneficial agenda.”
