Sen. Cramer: DOT Invests Over $1 Million into 4 North Dakota Airports

WASHINGTON — U.S. Senator Kevin Cramer (R-ND) announced the U.S. Department of Transportation (DOT) approved four grants under the Federal Aviation Administration (FAA) totaling $1,040,271, which will be used for various improvement and maintenance projects at local airports in North Dakota. See below for the list of grantees and project details:

• Ashley Municipal Airport received $67,500 to reconstruct lighting systems along existing runways and install an airport rotating beacon.
• Parshall Municipal Airport Authority received $301,071 to conduct a master plan study to show current and future needs of the airport.
• Gwinner Municipal Airport Authority received $371,700 to construct a 500-foot taxiway to provide access to aircraft hangars.
• Garrison Municipal Airport Authority received $300,000 to reconstruct existing taxiway pavement, install an airport perimeter fence, and rehabilitate an airport access road.
