WASHINGTON – U.S. Senator Kevin Cramer (R-ND) issued the following statement after the Senate Budget Committee advanced the nomination of Russ Vought as Office of Management and Budget (OMB) Director out of committee and onto the Senate floor today:

“Mr. Vought has been responsive and attentive to the needs of North Dakotans, both as the Acting Director of OMB and as the nominee for this important post. I was pleased to support him in committee today, and I urge my colleagues to do the same when his nomination comes before the full Senate.”

During his nomination hearing last week, Senator Cramer praised Acting Director Vought for his role in advancing the Trump Administration’s guidance on carbon capture tax credits and spoke to him about regulatory concerns raised by North Dakota’s farmers.
