WASHINGTON – U.S. Senator Kevin Cramer (R-ND) announced today the U.S. Department of Health and Human Services (HHS) awarded a combined $570,226 to the Turtle Mountain Band of Chippewa Indians and the Spirit Lake Tribe to finance COVID-19 preparedness and response efforts.
This investment was approved by the HHS Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC) Office for State, Tribal, Local, and Territorial Support. The funds will be used to support tribal public health capacity in coronavirus preparedness and response.
