BISMARCK – U.S. Senator Kevin Cramer (R-ND) announced today the U.S. Department of Health and Human Services (HHS) awarded three grants totaling $1,932,459 to Turtle Mountain Community College, the North Dakota State Department of Health, and North Dakota State University. 

  • Turtle Mountain Community College received $1,717,460 through the Administration for Children and Families Office of Family Assistance to fund their Health Education Access through Rural Training (HEART) Project.
  • North Dakota State University received $145,000 through the National Cancer Institute for pancreatic cancer detection research.
  • The North Dakota State Department of Health received $69,999 through the Food and Drug Administration to fund a researchdemonstration project to update and implement a strategic plan to advance conformance with the Voluntary National Retail Food Regulatory Program Standards.
