Sen. Cramer: DOJ Awards Spirit Lake Tribe Funds to Combat Violent Crimes Against Women

WASHINGTON – U.S. Senator Kevin Cramer (R-ND) announced today the U.S. Department of Justice’s (DOJ) Office on Violence Against Women awarded$607,630 to Spirit Lake Tribe.

The funds will be used to strengthen the ability of the tribe to exercise its sovereign authority to respond to violent crimes committed against women and to ensure perpetrators of violent crimes committed against women are held accountable for their criminal behavior.
