WASHINGTON – U.S. Senator Kevin Cramer (R-ND) issued the following statement on the House of Representatives passing Savanna’s Act today:

“Thanks to my colleagues in the House for getting our bill over the finish line. Named in memory of North Dakota resident Savanna LaFontaine-Greywind who was brutally murdered just a few years ago, this legislation seeks to combat violence against the most vulnerable members of the Native American community. I look forward to President Trump signing it into law.”

Senator Cramer helped introduce Savanna’s Act in January of 2019 and was presiding when the Senate passed the bill in March of this year.
