BISMARCK – U.S. Senator Kevin Cramer (R-ND) announced today the U.S. Department of Health and Human Services (HHS) awarded two grants totaling $2,135,227 to the Coal Country Community Health Center and the North Dakota Department of Insurance.  

Coal Country Community Health Center received $1,894,175 through the Health Resources and Services Administration office under HHS. They provide health care services in rural North Dakota and have four practicing clinics serving the communities of Beulah, Center, Hazen, and Killdeer.

The North Dakota Department of Insurance received $241,052 through the Administration For Community Living (ACL) Center for Consumer Access and Self-Determination under HHS. The funds will be directed toward the State Health Insurance Assistance Program (SHIP).
