Sen. Cramer on Senate Confirmation of Peter Welte as District Judge for North Dakota

WASHINGTON – U.S. Senator Kevin Cramer (R-ND) issued the following statement on Peter Welte’s nomination to be U.S. District Judge for North Dakota:

“After nearly two years with a vacant seat, the United States Senate today delivered a new judge to North Dakota by confirming Peter Welte to the federal bench. His confirmation to this important position is welcome news for our state and another example of President Trump and Senate Republicans working to end the judicial vacancy crisis. I am grateful to Peter for his willingness to serve and to President Trump for choosing a qualified and capable North Dakotan who dedicates his life to public service.”
