WASHINGTON – U.S. Senator Kevin Cramer (R-ND) announced today the U.S. Department of Health and Human Services (HHS) awarded a combined $490,060 to the Standing Rock Sioux Tribe and the Three Affiliated Tribes to finance COVID-19 preparedness and response efforts. 

  • Standing Rock Sioux Tribe - $296,547
  • Three Affiliated Tribes - $193,513

 

This investment was approved by the HHS Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC) Office for State, Tribal, Local, and Territorial Support. The funds will be used to support tribal public health capacity in coronavirus preparedness and response.
