BISMARCK – U.S. Senator Kevin Cramer (R-ND) announced today he will visit the southern border on Tuesday, August 27.
“There is a crisis at the southern border,” said Senator Cramer as he announced the tour. “I am going to El Paso to see this crisis first hand and to hear from our law enforcement on the ground about what they need from us.”
Senator Cramer will use his visit to observe border wall construction, port of entry operations, detention facilities, and Customs and Border Protection surveillance systems.
The tour will be led by Customs and Border Protection (CBP) and Immigration and Customs Enforcement (ICE). Senator Cramer will be joined by the U.S. Army Corps of Engineers (USACE) during his observation of the border wall.
