WASHINGTON – U.S. Senator Kevin Cramer (R-ND) delivered remarks on the Senate floor this weekend outlining his support for Judge Amy Coney Barrett’s nomination as Associate Justice to the United States Supreme Court and urging his colleagues to support her confirmation.

“This issue one of the reasons why I am here today serving the people of North Dakota in the United States Senate,” said Senator Cramer. “I am honored to cast my vote for Judge Amy Coney Barrett to become the next Associate Justice on the United States Supreme Court, and I urge my colleagues to do the same.”

Senator Cramer highlighted Judge Barrett’s views on federalism and the role of states in a cooperative federalist system.

“The states came together to form the federal government, not the other way around,” said Senator Cramer. “I am grateful for the answers she gave me on the role of states in a cooperative federalist system like ours.”

Senator Cramer also discussed Judge Barrett’s faith and expressed his appreciation for her willingness to serve our country.
